Kitchen Cabinets

Did you know that typical "custom kitchen cabinets" are twice as expensive as high end factory cabinets?  Did you also know that most kitchens only need a few uniquely sized "custom cabinets" and the rest are industry standard sizes? We have recently added Patrick D. to the QSC team, and we have really benefited from his expertise as a custom cabinet maker. We have really been able to expand our portfolio.  With Patrick's expertise, we've been able to take a factory cabinets, modify them slightly and give our customers custom cabinets at factory prices.  Take a look at this custom valance Patrick made for one of our customers from an overlay filler, 2 refrigerator end panels, crown molding and standard shelving.

Kitchen and Bath Cabinets Too

Not only are we the best reviewed granite countertop company in Virginia Beach, we can also provide kitchen and bath cabinets as well.  We've recently added Patrick D, to manage our growing cabinet company.  His custom cabinet experience allows us to modify our stock cabinets to give our customer a custom cabinet look, for a stock cabinet price. Check this out:  We took a River Run, Dalton Cocoa cabinet, recessed the toe kick and lit the underside of the cabinets.  We also took a piece of Snow White Quartz and mitered the edge to give it a beefed up 3" thick look.   The semi-recessed vessel bowls and the split face Travertine back splash tiles give this bathroom a contemporary look.

Granite: Why every homeowner wants a piece of the rock

By Monica Hesse, Published: February 6 in the Washington Post In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth, including a form of igneous rock called granite, a mass composed mostly of silica and aluminum that makes up a large part of the continental crust, and comes in all the colors of the rainbow and signifies majesty and serenity. On the kajillionth day, or thereabouts, we mined that granite and we made countertops. We laid those countertops in kitchens all across the land, in condos and co-ops, in Pittsburgh and Portland. Now that the entire United States has been good and covered, from slab to shining slab, we can take a step back and analyze the age of the granite countertop. Think about what [...]

Cambria is rocking with bigger plant, more workers

Quartz countertop maker Cambria might have limped through the recession but it's now running full tilt with yet another expansion that will double its Le Sueur, Minn., factory by April. An army of bright yellow backhoes, 20-wheel spreaders, and compactors descended on the factory off Hwy. 169 two weeks ago to start the building and equipment project that will add 375,000 square feet. The $121 million expansion is the second in five years for the plant, which is benefiting from overwhelming demand for Cambria countertops. In 2007, the company spent $45million doubling the Le Sueur factory to 325,000 square feet and adding 290 jobs. The new project will add 220 workers to the 750 now spread across the company.
